1. Connect the Ethernet cable (enclosed) to the TalkParade Phone Adaptor LAN port, located on the left side of TalkParade Phone Adaptor.
2. Connect the other side of the Ethernet cable to any available port on your router.
3. Connect a telephone cable from the "Phone 1" port of your TalkParade Phone Adaptor (located on the right side of TalkParade Phone Adaptor) into your telephone.
4. Connect the power adaptor to your TalkParade Phone Adaptor (located on the left side of TalkParade Phone Adaptor) and plug it into a power outlet or a surge protector.
5. The "ACT" light of your TalkParade Phone Adaptor (located on the right side of TalkParade Phone Adaptor) may blink for about 45 seconds. DO NOT POWER OFF THE TALKPARADE PHONE ADAPTOR during this time.
6. After waiting 45 seconds, pick up the phone and see if you have a dial tone. If you have dial tone you have successfully completed the installation and are ready to use the TalkParade service.
Installation of a new router in addition to TalkParade Phone Adaptor
1. Shut down your computer.
2. Power off your Cable or DSL modem.
3. Disconnect the Ethernet cable from your computer.
4. Take the router out of its box and follow its installation procedures.
5. Connect your Ethernet cable from your Cable or DSL modem to the WAN port on your router.
6. Connect your computer to an available port on your router.
7. Power on your Cable or DSL modem.
8. Power on your router.
9. Connect the Ethernet cable (enclosed) to the TalkParade Phone Adaptor LAN port, located on the left side of TalkParade Phone Adaptor.
10. Connect the other side of the Ethernet cable to any available port on your router.
11. Connect a telephone cable from the "Phone 1" port of your TalkParade Phone Adaptor (located on the right side of TalkParade Phone Adaptor) into your telephone.
12. Connect the power adaptor to your TalkParade Phone Adaptor (located on the left side of TalkParade Phone Adaptor) and plug it into a power outlet or a surge protector.
13. The "ACT" light of your TalkParade Phone Adaptor (located on the right side of TalkParade Phone Adaptor) may blink for about 45 seconds. DO NOT POWER OFF THE TALKPARADE PHONE ADAPTOR during this time.
14. After waiting 45 seconds, pick up the phone and see if you have a dial tone. If you have dial tone, you have successfully completed the installation and are ready to use the TalkParade service.
